MRS. MADGE BUCHNER DIES SUDDENLY AT HOME HERE SUNDAY

Mrs. Madge Buchner, owner and manager of Buchner morticians for the past 15 years, died suddenly early Sunday at her home in Maquoketa.

Mrs. Buchner had attended the theater Saturday evening, in apparently good health, but was taken ill suddenly after she returned home. She died after a heart attack.

The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Buchner chapel. The Rev. Howard Beil of the Evangelical and Reformed church officiated and burial was at Mt. Hope cemetery.

Madge Louise Hainer Buchner was born in Jackson county March 21, 1894, the daughter of Edward Hainer and Hattie Griffin Hainer.

She is survived by two children, Betty Ripperton of Manchester and George Buchner of Santa Monica, Calif., five sisters, Zora Nims, and Verva Hainer, both of Maquoketa; Helen Kenton of Russell, Iowa; Sybil of Washington D.C., and Maxine of Indianapolis, and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Louise, and infant daughter, her parents and a brother, Ford, who died in 1946.

George Buchner of Santa Monica, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. John Ripperton of Manchester, Miss Sybil Hainer of Washington, D.C., Maxine Hainer of Indianapolis, Ind. and Mrs. Helen Kenton of Russell, Iowa, came Sunday called by the death of their mother and sister, Mrs. Madge Buchner.
