Maquoketa Record, January 9, 1907:
Died-Mrs. Taylor, wife of F. M. Taylor, Jan. 2, 1907, at Pasadena, Cal. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband and two sisters, Mrs. F. M. Fort of Clinton, Iowa, and Mrs. Peter D. Cotton of St. Louis, Mo. Funeral services were held at Pasedena.
Mrs. Taylor was a sister of the late D. A. Wynkoop of this city and Bellevue, and for several years of her girlhood was a resident of Maquoketa. She was a charming lady greatly beloved by all who knew her, and all old friends here will learn of her demise with deep regret. She had been an invalid for several years, and accompanied by her sister, Mrs. Fort, to care for her, she was spending the winter in California to escape the rigors of the season here.
