Mrs. Mary Harris, one of Bellevue's pioneer residents passed away last Saturday after an extended illness, aged 78 years. Deceased was born at Mercer, Pennsylvania, May 1, 1828, and when 12 years of age came to Bellevue to live, residing here continuously ever since. The funeral was held Monday afternoon from her late home on South Third Street and was conducted by Rev. Memott, assisted by the choir of the Presbyterian Church. The were laid to rest in the north cemetery.-Bellevue Leader.
