MRS. JAMES CAMPBELL FUNERAL RITES HELD MONDAY IN MAQUOKETA

Mrs. James Campbell, 80, died last Wednesday morning in the Jackson county hospital following a short illness.

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Carson funeral home with the Rev. Howard Beil officiating. Burial was made in Mt. Hope cemetery.

Emma Irwin was born Jan. 29, 1870 in Zwingle, a daughter of Daniel and Sarah Cort Irwin. She was married Nov. 28, 1888 in Maquoketa to James Campbell who survives. She was a member of the Reformed church and the American Legion auxiliary.

Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Maude Murray and Mrs. Blanche Swift, and a sister, Eva Campbell.

She was preceded in death by a son James in 1930 and a brother.

DEATH DATE: February 28, 1951
