CLYDE WAITE DIES; FUNERAL TUESDAY
Clyde Clifford Waite died Saturday evening, Aug 26, in the Jackson county hospital.
Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Carson funeral home with burial at Mt. Hope. Military services were conducted at the graveside.
Mr. Waite was born Feb. 21, 1891 in Maquoketa, a son of Daniel and Mary Ann Hardin Waite. On Oct. 31, 1928 in Maquoketa, he was married to Alma Marie Beck who survives. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving besides his wife are four children, Mrs. Fern Onita Hinke, Don Clifford, Marilyn Marie, and Richard all of Maquoketa; his mother, Mrs. Mary Waite; three brothers, Fred of Miami, Fla., Kenneth of Maquoketa and Ray of Davenport; and three sisters, Lulu Sleeper of Delmar, Ethel Weer of Miami, Fla., and Alma Cole of Maquoketa.
