MRS. F. SWEESY DIES AUGUST 4TH
Mrs. Frank Sweesy, 73, of LaPlata, Mo., a former Maquoketa resident, died in Kirksville, Mo., hospital Aug. 4 after a week's illness.
Mrs. Sweesy was born DeEtta Pearl White, daughter of Alfred and Frances Ann White, in Maroa, Ill., on June 27, 1879. She was married at Clinton, Ill., in 1898 to Alfred Wing. In 1931, she was married in Chicago to Frank Sweesy.
Children surviving are Gerald Lee Wing, Villa Park, Ill., Harold C. Wing, Grandville, Mich., Rex A. Wing of Bellevue, Mrs. Vivian Brewer, Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Carol Hendricks of Maywood, Ill. Stepchildren surviving her are Mrs. Margery Waters, LaPlata; Harold Sweesy of Los Angeles, Calif., Alf Sweesy of Huron, So. Dak., and Mrs. Alice Carnahan, Atlanta, Ga. One sister, Mrs. Cora Schocker of Maquoketa, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive also.
Funeral services were held on Aug 6 at 2:00 p.m. in the LaPlata Christian church. Interment was made in the LaPlata cemetery.
