EDWIN TURNQUIST, 55, DIES SUNDAY AT HOME IN DELMAR
Funeral service was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Carson funeral home for Edwin Turnquist, 55, who died suddenly in his home in Delmar at 12:30 a.m. Sunday following a heart attack. The Rev. Schaeffer officiated and burial was in Evergreen cemetery, Delmar. Knights of Pythias were in charge of the graveside service.
A son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Turnquist, the deceased was born July 9, 1886 in Fargo, N.D. He was married in Montana on May 30, 1917, to Ernestine Palmer, who survives.
He is also survived by three daughers, Mrs. Jeanne Holst of Maquoketa, Miss Marjorie Turnquist of Delmar, and Mrs. Marilyn Hendricksen of Harrison, Ark.; three brothers, Albert Turnquist of Fargo, N.D., William Turnquist of Billings, Mont., and the Rev. O.E. Turnquist of St. Paul, Minn., and two grandchildren. Two sisters preceded him in death.
