MASS BURIAL HELD FOR FIVE KEEENEYS

Services for the five Keeneys was held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Salem Lutheran church at Andrew with the Rev. L. Nelson of the Bellevue Presbyterian church officiating.

Ronald was born June 5, 1936; Milton, March 10, 1939, and Donald, April 10, 1941, in Andrew.

Surviving besides the parents are five brothers and sisters, Reynolds, Jeanette, Joyce, Vona and Lois, all at home and their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Keeney of Andrew.

The bodies of the Keeney children were taken first to the Dye funeral home at Bellevue and then removed to Carson and Balster in Maquoketa. The other three were left at the Bellevue home.

Harlan Keeney was born Oct. 1918 in Bellevue. He was employed as a welder at Davenport Besler Corp. for the past eight years. Mrs. Keeney is the former Maxine Henry of Bellevue. Mr. Keeney served in World War II with an armored division.

Surviving in additon to Mrs. Keeney and Byron, 11, are a daugher, Janice; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Keeney and a brother, Delbert.

Rites for Mabel Chrest were held Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in the Preston Lutheran church and burial was in the Preston cemetery.

She is survived by her father, August Chrest of Rock Island, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Viols Norvelle of Rock Island and Mrs. Helen Vrbicke of Cedar Rapids, and a brother in Portland, Ore.
