HARRY A. JOINER

Harry A. Joiner, 70, of Maquoketa, died Saturday afternoon in Maquoketa nursing home after an extended illness. Private services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Haylock-O'Hara funeral home. Rev. Bruce Dean will officiate and burial will be in Oakdale cemetery, Davenport.

Mr. Joiner, the son of Henry and Jessie Joiner, was born March 16, 1882, in Davenport. He came to Maquoketa in 1906 and for many years managed a lumber company here. His wife, the former Florence White, died in 1928.

Surviving are two sons, Harry E. of Davenport and Frederic of Kansas City, Mo., and one sister, Miss Bessie Joiner, Maquoketa.
