SABULA - Viola Belle Gruhn, 79, of rural Sabula, died Friday at the Alverno Nursing Home, Clinton.Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Miller-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Preston, with the Rev. Robert Krueger of Calvary Lutheran Church, Sabula, officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, rural Sabula. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.She was born Aug. 18, 1924, in Sabula, to Bruno and Lucy Drury Gruhn. She was a baptized member of the Lutheran faith. She attended the Glenn Country School. She spent her life dedicated to the family home and farm.Survivors include two nieces, Mrs. Eldona (Robert) Turney of Clinton and Mrs. Arlene (Dean) Schauf of Maquoketa, Iowa; three nephews, Eugene (Janet) Gruhn of Sabula, Don (Laurel) Gruhn and Delbert (Linda) Gruhn, both of Clinton; 17 great-nieces and nephews; 14 great-great-nieces and nephews; and two sister-in-laws, Jeanette Gruhn of Miles and Erma Gruhn of Preston.She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two nephews and one great-nephew.
