FRANK BUTKA
Frank Butka, 69, of 107 N. 5th st., retired service station operator, died in his home at 6:15 p.m. Thursday. He had been in failing health for three years.
Friends may call this evening at the Snell funeral home, where the body reposes. Funeral services there are set for 3 p.m. Saturday, with Howard Rand of Zion Lutheran church officiating. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park.
Mr. Butka was born Aug. 28, 1888, at Forrest City, son of Henry and Rose Chilsen Butka. He was married to Mary Belle Wilcox at Maquoketa, Feb. 3, 1915. They farmed near Maquoketa for a time, coming to Clinton in 1928. Before retiring three years ago, Mr. Butka operated a service station on Highway 67 south of Clinton for 22 years.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Harold Butka, Clinton; a step-brother, Charles Butka, Maquoketa, and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a son.
