MRS. THOMAS LYNCH DIES AUGUST 14 IN MAQUOKETA HOME

Funeral service was held at 9 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic church for Mrs. Thomas Lynch, 95, who died August 14 in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alice Ellis. The Rev. Fr. Loosbrock officiated and burial was in North Garryowen.

Alicia Curtis Lynch, a daughter of Michael Curtis and Mary Griffin Curtis, was born March 3, 1856, in Carlow county, Ireland. She was married Oct. 21, 1877 to Thomas Lynch, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Alice B. Ellis of Maquoketa, and Mrs. Elizabeth McMahon of Dubuque; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Seven children, one brother and one sister preceded her in death.
