RITES FOR OLDEST PRESTON WOMAN
Mrs. Mina Bratthauer Petersen, 93, Preston oldest resident, born May 15, 1861, near Preston, died at home last Saturday at 2 p.m. She was married to Martin Petersen, March 5, 1879, who preceded her in death Nov. 12, 1934.
Services were held in the Cambell funeral home Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. W.A. Bischoff, of St. John's Lutheran church, officiating. Burial was in Miles cemetery.
Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Justine Schelm, Mrs. Emma Mathein, both of Preston, Mrs. Minnie Hunter, Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Art (Fern) Loitz, Crystal Lake, Ill.; 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Her son, Martin, preceded her in death in 1936.
Pallbearers were LeRoy Bratthauer, Lloyd Bratthauer, Martin Schlem, Kenneth Loitz, Arthur Loitz, Jr., James Holmes and Wells Ritz. Hymns were sung by Donald Kelly, accompanied by Miss Audrey Kunau.
