MRS. FREDERICKA HARDER DIED SUNDAY EVENING; FUNERAL WEDNESDAY
Mrs. Fredericka Dorothea Harder, 78, died Sunday evening at her home on West Platt street. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Methodist church here with the Rev. H. H. Dill officiating. Pall bearers will be six grandsons.
Fredericka Loitz, daughter of Fred and Johanna Becker Loitz, was born August 27, 1863, in Germany and came to the United States when she was 16 years old. On January 17, 1885, she married Ernest Harder, who preceded her in death in Ocotber, 1936.
Surviving are five children, Mrs. Bertha Rasmussen and Wm., both of Delmar, Mrs. Emma Schmidt of Davenport, Edw. L. and Mrs. Gertrude Teefy, both of Maquoketa; four brothers and sisters, Fred and Albert Loitz, both of Maquoketa, John Loitz of Woodstock and Mrs. Minnie Huebe of Calamus; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and two grandchildren whom she reared from infancy, Mrs. Dorothea Miller and Elmer Harder, both of Maquoketa.
