REV. ASHEAL BRONSON:
Rev. Asheal Bronson, for over 10 years a resident of this place(Wyoming, Iowa) died on Tuesday of last week at the home of his son Fred in Wyona, Minn. He had been in failing health for a long time, but his friends hoped that he would recover and be able to join them in the home coming and friendly greetings at the Semi-Centennial, but it was not to be and death removed him from his sufferings on the last day of the Jubilee. Mr. Bronson was nearly 98 years years old, had officiated at the marriages and deaths of a great many people, sometimes it has happened that he has married three generations in one family and served at the funerals of some of the members. His remains were brought here for burial in the family plot. The services were held in the M.E.Church where for so many years his voice was heard in the cause he loved so well. Thus has passed another good man. He was a minister for over 75 years. (Maquoketa Record, August 23, 1905.)
