EMIL ROCKROHR DIED SUNDAY

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 at the Carson-Balster Funeral Home for Emil Rockrohr, 75, who died Sunday morning at his home here following an extended illness. Rev. Frances C. Snyder of the Congregational church officiated with burial in Mt. Hope cemetery.

Mr. Rockrohr was born in Clinton county on June 15, 1864, moving to Jackson county upon his marriage to Dora Frank. They moved to Maquoketa about 20 years ago upon his retirement from his farm.

He is survived by his widow, who also has been in poor health since she suffered a fall several weeks ago; two daughters, Mrs. Carl Holtz, and Mrs. Arthur Westphal; three sons, Will, Harry and John; and one brother, Otto. One brother, Charles, and a sister, Mrs. Dalchow, preceded him in death this last spring.
