O. E. TABOR DIES
O. E. Tabor, 79, died in the family home on Matteson avenue here on Saturday night, after a serious illness of five days.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the Harrison funeral home. The Rev. Geo. F. Barsalou will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Hope cemtery. Helion lodge, A.F. & A.M. will have charge of the service at the grave and Tancred Commandery, Knights Templar, will provide an honorary escort.
Osceola E. Tabor was born Dec. 24, 1858 near Wyoming. He married Loanza Belle Cooley, June 2, 1891, and they farmed for a time near Onslow, moving to Maquoketa about 1900, where they have since resided. He was a member of Helion lodge, A.F. & A.M., Royal Arch Masons chapter, and Tancred Commandery, Knights Templar, all of Maquoketa, and for 30 years had been a member of the Shrine in Davenport. He was affiliated with the Congregational church.
Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. G. C. Ryan, and one granddaughter, Georgia Ryan, all of Maquoketa.
