MAQUOKETA — Jason Jon Cummings, 35, of Maquoketa, died Saturday.

Burial is at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Dixon Cemetery.

He was born Aug. 11, 1971, in Davenport to Mark C. and Judy K. Richlen Cummings.

He was a 1989 graduate of Maquoketa High School and then graduated from NICC with an automotive degree in 1990.

He worked as an automotive technician with Cedar Cross Service, Dubuque, and then with Rosenberg Auto Supply, Maquoketa. In 2002, he opened his own auto repair shop, Cummings Auto Repair.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Maquoketa.

Survivors include his parents; one sister, Lana Hazer of Andrew; three nephews; grandmother, Sybil Cummings of Peru, Ill.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Jason Jon Cummings Memorial Fund has been established.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
