CLINTON — Lucy A. Ralston Pothof, 45, of Clinton and formerly of Maquoketa, died Monday at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery, rural Maquoketa.

She was born Nov. 20, 1961, in Maquoketa to Willie E. “Bill” and Pauline Burkey Ralston. She married Henry Pothof on Oct. 12, 1984, in Clinton.

She graduated from Clinton High School. She took certified nurse’s aide training courses.

She first worked with several Clinton nursing homes and later with the Skyline Center in Clinton and surrounding areas.

She was a member of the Clinton RLDS Church.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Logan Pothof of Clinton; four brothers, John (Sandra) Ralston of Clinton, Jessie Ralston and Archie “Butch” Ralston, both of Monmouth, and Paul (Karen) Ralston of Maquoketa; two sisters, Elizabeth “Dolly” (Earl) Kunde of Monmouth and Lorraine (Robert) Lohse of Lost Nation.

A Lucy A. Pothof Memorial Fund has been established.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
