Kendall Hurst remains arrive; Rites Pending.
The remains of Kendall Hurst, formerly of Maquoketa, who died May 8(1953) in Germany, where he was employed, arrived in Maquoketa at the Carson funeral home Tuesday night.
Last rites will be arranged when his wife arrives from Germany. Mr. Hurst is a grandson of Dr. and Mrs. M.A.Robinson of Maquoketa. At one time he was co-publisher of the Maquoketa Community Press. Maquoketa Newspapers will be closed during funeral services. (Jackson Sentinel, May 22, 1953.)
