OBITUARY OF MRS. ANNA SCHIPPER OF ANDREW
Mrs. Anna Schipper, nee Fischer, was born on the 23rd day of November 1842, at Norden, Germany, and passed away at the home of her son, Henry Schipper, at Andrew, Iowa, Monday forenoon at 1 o'clock.
At an early age she was baptized into the name of the Triune God. In the spring of 1856 she was confirmed in the Lutheran church. In 1860, she was united in marriage to Mr. Jerdon J. Schipper. In the year 1872 they immigrated to this country and made their home in and around Andrew, Iowa. Their union was blessed with eight children. Her husband and two infants preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn six children, John Schipper, Henry Schipper, and Sim Schipper of Andrew, Iowa. Jirdon Schipper of New Haven, N. Y., Louis Schipper of Worth, Ill., and Mrs. Allie Miller of Spragueville, Iowa. Eleven grandchildren also survive.
She had reached the age of 83 years, 5 months and 3 days.
