DEATH OF MRS. ED GURIUS (second published obituary)
Mrs. Ed Gurius died Friday morning at the Suthers hospital following an operation for gall stones to which she submitted Sunday. She was suddenly taken worse Thursday, and continued to sink until the end came.
Louise Roth was born in Madison, Wisconsin, Nov. 13, 1878, and a few years later her parents removed with their family to Mitchell, South Dakota, whre she grew to young woman hood. About fifteen years ago she was united in marriage with Ed Gurius, who was at that time in Mitchell, the young couple going to Sioux City for the marriage ceremony.
Almost immediately they came to this section of Iowa again, and have lived in this vicinity ever since. Two young children, Donald, aged 8 and Louise Evelyn, aged 4, together with their father, mourn the untimely loss of this loved one. She leaves also one sister, Mrs. Anna Wooley of Mitchell, South Dakota, and two brothers, A.A. Roth of Maquoketa and Charles Rother of Mitchell, South Dakota. Her parents preceded her in death.
Funeral services were conducted Monday morning at the Sacred Heart Catholic church, the Rev. L. P. Craney officiating, and the body was laid in the Catholic cemetery here.
