ENGVIRT PETERSEN
Funeral services for Engvirt PETERSEN, 73, of 316 S. matteson will be held today (Saturday) at 1:30 p.m. at the Carson Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Esgate Cemetery. Mr. PETERSEN, a retired farmer, died Thursday morning, July 9 at the Jackson County Public Hospital.
Engvirt PETERSEN was born Aprel 23, 1897 in Jackson County, the son of Christian and Hanna PETERSEN. On February 14, 1897, he married Nettie HAYWARD in Maquoketa.
He is survived by his wife, one son, LeRoy W. of Maquoketa and one daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Dixie)BRUNSCHEEN of Hartford, Wisconsin. Also, one brother, Hans of Parker, South Dakota; three sisters, Mrs. Gottlieb (Meta) BECK of Maquoketa, Mrs. Clarence (Mary) ANDERSON of Plano, Illinois and Mrs. Harry (Anna) ECKHOFF of Hurley, South Dakota; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, three brothers, and three sisters.
