JENS PETERSEN
Funeral services for Mr. Jens PETERSEN, 302 S. Prospect, will be held Sat., Feb 24 (today) at 1:30 p.m. at Haylock and O'Hara Funeral Home. The Reb. Harold Kumpf, First Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Mr. PETERSEN died Wed., Feb. 21 at Jackson County Public Hospital.
Mr. PETERSEN was born Feb. 12, 1887, the son of Chris and Hanna (JENSEN) PETERSEN in Clinton County. He married Meta STOLL Jan. 27, 1915, in Preston. Mr. PETERSEN was a retired farmer.
Surviving Mr. PETERSEN are his wife, Meta; three daughters, Mrs. John (Mildred) ROHLFS of Long Grove, Mrs. Paul (Gertrude)JANETT of Manchester, Mrs. Arnold (Elsie) KOKEMULLER of Davenport; one son, Alvin PETERSEN of Maquoketa; two brothers, Hans PETERSEN of Parker, S.D., Engvirt PETERSEN of Maquoketa; three sisters, Mrs. Gottlieb BECK of Maquoketa, Mrs. Clarence ANDERSON of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Harry ECKHOFF, Hurley, S.D.; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. PETERSEN was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
DEATH DATE: Feb.21, 1968
