Funeral services at Andrew Friday for William Ehl. William Ehl, 78, died suddenly Tuesday evening at his home at Andrew. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Andrew and burial will be in Andrew Cemetery. The deceased, a son of Andrew and Sophia Bornwasser Ehl, was born November 22, 1868 in Germany and for the past 67 years he has been a resident of the United States where he followed the occupation of farming. He was married to Rebecca Moeller on January 11, 1903 and their home has been near Andrew for many years. Surviving are the widow and four children, Henry A., Sophia Kinrade of Maquoketa, Carl F. of Corydon, Iowa, and Marie Hasson of Clinton. Also surviving are two brothers, Henry Ehl of Bellevue and Chris Ehl of Clinton; two sisters, Carrie Cornelius of Maquoketa and Louise Rothlert of California. He was a member of the Brotherhood of the Lutheran Church at Andrew. (Jackson Sentinel, January 24, 1947)
