Funeral services are held here Tuesday for Frank H. Keck, 76, member of pioneer law firm.
Funeral service was held here Tuesday at 2 p.m. for Frank H. Keck, 76, a lifetime resident of Maquoketa and member of the pioneer law firm of Keck & Keck. The Rev. A. L. Eddy officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Mr. Keck died Saturday(January 18,1947) at his home following an illness of several months (cerebral hemorrhage). Frank H. Keck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Keck (mother, Amelia Mann), was born (August 1, 1870) in Andrew, and moved to Maquoketa as a child. In 1896 he joined his father in the firm of Levi Keck & Sons, abstractors, and later became affiliated with his brother, Judge Walter L. Keck in the law firm Keck & Keck, now in charge of a nephew, attorney Allen Keck. He was married in 1896 to Miss Myrta Nickerson, who preceded him in death in 1946. He is survived by one brother, Judge Walter Keck, of Maquoketa. (Jackson Sentinel, January 24, 1947.)
