DUBUQUE — Allen F. Brady, 81, of Dubuque and formerly of Maquoketa, died Thursday at his home.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

He was born Dec. 1, 1925, in Maquoketa to Joseph W. and Elsie Brown Brady.

He was a 1943 graduate of Maquoketa High School and attended Iowa State University, Ames.

He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He worked in the maintenance department at Rochelle (Ill.) Hospital for 15 years and then at Finley Hospital, Dubuque, for more than 20 years. He also was an amateur photographer.

Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Brady-Easter of Joliet, Ill.; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Dale (Lillian) Brady of Sioux City and George (Laveta) Brady of Clinton.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, three brothers and four sisters.
