MAQUOKETA — Earl H. Lietz,86, of Maquoketa, died Monday at Jackson County Regional Health Center in Maquoketa.

Burial will be in Cod Fish Cemetery, rural Maquoketa.

He was born in Toronto, Iowa, to William C. and Martha Engel Lietz.

He was educated in Baldwin schools.

He worked at various jobs including the railroad, Berthel Electric, Winegar Transfer, Clinton Engines and with Bob Jones.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Maquoketa.

Survivors include one brother, Darrell (Ann) Lietz of Davenport; one sister-in-law, Janice Lietz of Maquoketa; and several nieces and nephews.

An Earl H. Lietz Memorial Fund has been established.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
