Frank Watson Laid to Rest in Sacred Heart
Passes Away At Home of His Son in Davenport---Funeral Services Held Monday

Frank Watson, a resident of Maquoketa and vicinity for many years, died Saturday at the home of his son, Frank, jr., in Davenport, where he had been taken for care on Wednesday of last week. He had been ill for some time but neighbors had assisted in caring for him until his illness became serious. He had returned here last fall after an absence of several years, and was operating a truck farm at his home on North Summit street.

He is survived by eleven children, Frank, jr., of Davenport; Mrs. Rose Harkey of Oakdale, Mrs. Laura Kennedy and Walter of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Bernice Diehl of Wyoming, William of Seattle, Wash., Ralph living in Wisconsin, Joe of Northville, Mich., Mrs. Jamees Tart of Des Moines, Leo and Virginia, twins in Des Moines with their mother.

The body was brought to the Harrison funeral home and funeral services were held Monday morning at the Sacred Heart church, Rev. Mullen reading the mass. The burial was deferred until the arrival of a daughter, Mrs. Bernice Diehl of Wyoming, and was held Tuesday morning, interment being made in Sacred Heart cemetery.
