MAQUOKETA — Mereta M. Ripple, 93, of Maquoketa, died Saturday at the Jackson County Regional Health Center, Maquoketa.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa.
Pallbearers will be Bill, Wayne, Gerald and Phillip Mayberry and Tom and Jerry Schwenker.
She was born Jan. 12, 1913, near Fulton, Iowa, to Wylie Warren and Mary Ann Seeberger Campbell. She married Lynn Ripple on April 15, 1935, in Belvidere, Ill. He died in 1965.
She and her husband farmed in rural Maquoketa. After her husband’s death, she moved to Maquoketa and was employed with the Maquoketa School District as a bus driver for many years until her retirement.
She was a member of Community of Christ Church, Maquoketa, and the Jackson County Regional Health Center Auxiliary. She also bowled in a senior citizen league.
Survivors include one sister, Leona Mayberry of Maquoketa; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to the Jackson County Regional Health Center Extended Care or Community of Christ Church, Maquoketa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and three brothers.
