Albert James

Albert William James, 77, formerly of Preston, Died this morning at the home, of his son in Delmar. Services are pending at the Miller Funeral homes in Preston. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Born Dec. 28, 1889 in Jackson county, he was the son of Richard and Caroline Yappen James. He married Dora Ringen, Aug. 21, 1912. The couple celebrated their golden wedding in 1962. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran church and a retired plumber and former employee of the county.

He is survived by his wife; one son Lester of Delmar; one Daughter, Mrs William (Marjorie) Burken of DeWitt; three sisters, Mrs Alice Reed of San Diego, Calif. , Mrs Estella "Stella" Williams of Chico, Calif., and Mrs. Charlotte (Joseph) Reed (? Harold Riede); seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
