MAQUOKETA — Jeanette A. Welch, 69, of Maquoketa, died Monday at her home.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery, rural Maquoketa.

She was born June 24, 1936, in Menomonee, Ill., to Bernard F. and Barbara Kass Beau. She married Wayne H. Welch on Nov. 26, 1960, in Maquoketa. He died in 1996.

She was a high school graduate.

She worked with Clinton Engines, Maquoketa, for six years. She then became a homemaker and farmed with her husband east of Maquoketa for many years.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Maquoketa.

Survivors include her children, Tina (Robert) Kass Beau of Sioux City, Thomas Welch of Oceanside, Calif., and Tony Welch of Bettendorf; seven grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A Jeanette A. Welch Memorial Fund has been established.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers and one sister.
