A GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

The fiftieth anniversary of the marriage of F. T. Burnett to Patience H. Burnett nee Carns was celebrated by relatives, neighbors and friends on Wednesday, May 23rd. Mr. and Mrs. Burnett were born in Mercer county, Pennsylvania, from which place they emigrated at an early period of their lives to Jackson county, Iowa. Their children, except for Dr. E. H. Burnett of Rockford, Iowa, were all present to take part in the joyful event. G. S. Burnett, the oldest son, of Shawnee, Oklahoma; A. Doc, of LeMars; Milo of Omaha; Mac of Iowa City; William of Sylvia Switch; Mrs. W. S. Sweezy of Baldwin; and Mrs. Moore of Glenville, Minnesota graced the occasion by their presence.
