GUITEAU RESURRECTED

Bellevue, Jackson County, Iowa, June 8, 1885-

To the Editors of the Sentinel:

Recently I saw an article quoted from the Sentinel I think to the effect of calling Russell Farrell, the Att’y, a gentleman. Perhaps you did not know the fact of his stating to the effect that the southerners were right in the civil war in this country. Of course if you call traitors gentlemen knowing that they are traitors at the time of calling them gentlemen and do not correct the statement then I suppose according to law you would be a traitor too to deserve with Farrell and others such, the fate of death, which tens of thousands of traitors have had to take in this country.
