Maquoketa Record, June 4, 1907:
J. H. Chopeiska, proprietor of the Maquoketa Iron Works, has originated and built a gasoline engine that is a dandy at its business. All you have to do is give it a little start, turn on the fluid and let'er flicker. It takes on renewed power whenever it needs to keep things moving properly, and burns much less gasoline per horse power developed than any machine now on the market. Mr. Chopeiska is an inventor of ability and a mechanic of great skill and he often puts his ideas into iron with successful results. He is protecting his rights with patents, and will build a few more machines to demonstrate what he has got. Stranger things have happened than that Maquoketa shall have a gasoline manufactory of note.
