LOITZ-BECK NUPTIALS SOLEMNIZED TODAY AT LUTHERAN PARSONAGE
At a pretty single ring ceremony in the First Lutheran church parsonage at 10:00 a.m, today, Miss Ann C. Loitz, daughter of Albert F. Loitz, of this city, became the bride of Howard F. Beck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb Beck, of rural Maquoketa. The pastor, Rev. Henry F. Mueller, officiated at the nuptials. Attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Gruenwald, sister and brother-in-law of the groom.
The bride's gown was of navy crepe, street length with saddle tan accessories. She wore a shoulder corsage of red and mixed roses and also a yellow gold engraved bracelet, a gift from the groom. Her attendant wore a street length dress of French blue crepe with black accessories.
Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home of the groom's parents, east of town, with covers laid for nine guests.
Mrs. Beck graduated from the Maquoketa High School in 1928, and for nearly seven years was employed at the offices of Drs. Johnson and Frank, in this city. Mr. Beck was an employee at the Rutenbeck Grocery for 12 years and for the past year and a half at the Blessing Grocery and Market.
The couple left this afternoon on a trip to Chicago, Ill., and other eastern points, the bride's traveling costume being a black tailored woolen crepe suit with tan accessories. Upon their return they will reside at 308 West Platt street.
