CAPITOLA BOWMAN WORKS FOR THE HOSPITALIZED VET
Mrs. Capitola Bowman of Maquoketa, spends much of her spare time making items for the veterans at Schick domiciliary in Clinton. She is shown here with twelve lap robes and fifteen chair cushions. She fashioned them this fall. A year ago she contributed nine robes. During the past three years, Mrs. Bowman has given to vets at Schick 865 pounds of carpet rages, 652 spools, $40 worth of books and magazines, 28 neckties, and has sold for them 228 rugs. She also gave 50 coat hangers to the local V.F.W.
