ADDISON VAN GORDERS OBSERVE GOLDEN WEDDING MONDAY

Mr. and Mrs. Addison Van Gorder observed their golden wedding anniversary Monday April 29, with a dinner at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Carl C. Beck, at Preston.

Cecilia Nicolaisen and Addison Van Gorder were married April 29, 1896, at the Methodist parsonage in Maquoketa by the Rev. J. L. Murray. Their home has always been in or near Maquoketa, except 8 years residence in Clinton. Twenty-two years ago they retired from farming and purchased their present home at 303 North Dearborn street.

They are the parents of two children, Mrs. Carl Beck, of Preston, and Charles Van Gorder, of Blythe, Calif. The latter was unable to be present for the occasion, but extended his congratulations by a telephone message, a surprise to his parents.
