Dial phone use explained to patrons.
Patrons of the Maquoketa telephone office last week received pamphlets in connection with the company's making dial test calls. The Northwestern Bell Telephone company on Jan. 16(1954) will cut over to automatic dial phone service here. The pamphlet, distributed in the mails, explains each step in dialing and is designed to help the phone user to obtain the best possible dial service, R.F.Zink, Maquoketa office manager, states.
The brochure also contains information on to place emergency calls, how to obtain assistance in dialing and how to call another party on your line.
