Samuel Campbell of Bellevue, the popular Republican candidate for county sheriff is making an active canvas as expected and as he should. It is very generally recognized that he would make a model sheriff if named for the position and that but a very few men are better equipped by nature for the office than he. He also comes from that part of the county that should be recognized and is expected to poll quite a satisfactory vote in the northeast end. No better man could have been named for Sheriff by the Republicans of Jackson county.
