Antionette Hilbert was born on July 19, 1852 in Angelsburg, Fischbach, Mersch, Luxembourg. I have not been able to find any more information on Antionette.

ARNOLD HILBERT – 1855 – SUSANNA ZEIMET

Arnold Hilbert was born August 8, 1855 in Angelsburg, Fischbach, Mersch Luxembourg, and died May 3, 1902 in Bellevue, Iowa. He married Susanna Zeimet on June 17, 1874 in Jackson County, Iowa. She is the daughter of Mathias Zeimet and Catherine Winkle. She was born on March 18, 1854. In the 1900 census, Arnold is shown as living in Kossuth County, Riverdale Township, Iowa.

The children of Arnold Hilbert and Susanna Zeimet are:

Mathias Hilbert – 1876 – Mary Besch

Mathias (Matthew) Hilbert was born on February 11, 1876 in Jackson County, Iowa. He married Mary Besch on November 23, 1898 in Whittemore, Iowa. Mary was born August 10, 1874 in Kossuth County, Iowa. Matthew died on March 30, 1968. In the 1920 census from Kossuth County, Riverdale Township, Iowa, it appears that this family lives right next door to John Kellner, who is married to Anna Hilbert.

Frank Hilbert – 1877 – Catherine Becker

Frank Hilbert was born August 13, 1877 in Humboldt, Iowa, and died December 29, 1960 in Humboldt, Kossoth County, Iowa. He married Catherine Becker on November 20, 1900 in Whittmore, Kossuth County, Iowa. Catherine was born December 26, 1877 in Wheaton, DuPage County, Illinois.

Anna Hilbert was born on August 1, 1879 in St. Joseph, Kossuth County, Iowa. She married John Kellner on October 14, 1897. He was born February 15, 1871. Anna died on August 2, 1944.

He was born on December 9, 1871 in Erpeldange, Diekirch, Diekirch, Luxembourg. Susan died on September 28, 1952 in St. Joseph, Kossuth County, Iowa.

Mary Hilbert was born on September 17, 1882. She married Peter Besch on January 24, 1905. He was born on April 10, 1882 in Whittemore, Iowa, the son of John Besch, born in Obermertzig, Luxembourg and Marie Demuth, born in Mertzig, Luxembourg.. Mary died on December 30, 1945 in Algona, Iowa. The 1910 census from Palo Alto County, Fairfield Township, Iowa shows Peter and Mary with three children and a servant, Lizzie Hilbert, age 20. I believe that she is Mary Hilbert’s sister.

Mary Hilbert and Peter Besch had the following children.

Katherine Hilbert – 1885 – Mathias J. Kellner

Katherine Hilbert was born on February 2, 1885. She married Mathias J. Kellner on September 27, 1905. He was born on November 22, 1876. Katherine died on July 21, 1955. Records show that Katherine and Mathias lived in Kossuth County, Iowa.

Elizabeth Hilbert was born on May 3, 1889. She married Casper William Elbert. Elizabeth Hilbert and Casper Elbert had a daughter.

Peter Hilbert was born on July 8, 1891. He married Margaret Arend on February 14, 1912. Margaret was born on May 13, 1889. Peter died on August 31, 1950. The 1920 census for Kossuth County, Iowa shows Peter’s family living in Wesley, Iowa.
