Morehead is Named for Sheriff’s Job
Charles Gibson Appointed First Deputy. Felderman Given Leave of Absence While in Service.

Official announcement was made here today of the appointment of W. Bert Morehead as acting sheriff of Jackson county in the absence of Sheriff Lorin C. Felderman, who left Tuesday night for the armed forces. Morehead has served in the capacity of chief deputy since the election of Felderman who is serving his second term.

Charles W. Gibson of Andrew, who served one term as sheriff and 10 years as warden of the Jackson county home, will be Morehead's first deputy.

Both men are well qualified to continue with the duties of the office in the same efficient manner as in the past.
