Bellevue Leader-

Dr. E. L. Lampe received word on Wednesday that he had been granted a commission as first lieutenant in the medical branch of the army. Dr. Lampe is just recovering from a severe attack of bronchial pneumonia and as soon as he is able will leave for Ft. Riley, Kansas. Dr. Lampe will be the second Bellevue physician to join the colors and his departure will leave but two physicians in this city, a condition that has not existed for many years. The many friends of Dr. Lampe congratulate him upon his appointment and when he leaves Bellevue the best wishes of all will accompany him.
