HEBERLING

Jackson Sentinel, August 28, 1879.

The Hon. George C. Heberling has resigned the office of Deputy United States Marshal, and has returned to his home in Sabula where he will resume the practice of law. The reason why Mr. Heberling resigned was because of the failure of the democratic congress to appropriate money for the maintenance of the United States courts, of which Mr. Heberling was an officer. Since Mr. Heberling’s return to Jackson County, his many friends are talking him up as a suitable man to represent this county in the state senate next winter.

Just as we predicted, George wants to be senator. What do you say to this Messrs. Green, Wilson, Hilsinger, Miles, Cannell, Keck and others from the back townships not yet heard from?
