LEGAL AND AUCTIONEERING CARD-

Read the card of that old settler and veteran Democrat, E. Mann of Brandon Township. He understands how to auctioneer your personal property so as to realize good figures, understands conveyancing, how to make out your deeds, and how to win your cases in Justice's courts. Give him a call, as he is an old settler and understands his profession.

E. MANN

Licensed auctioneer, also attorney and counsellor at law. Will practice in Justice's courts. Conveyancing promptly attended to and all legal instruments drawn up, on short notice. Residence in Brandon Township.

Jackson Sentinel, March 24, 1881.

A letter from ELEAZER MANN, formerly of Brandon Township, this county, but now a resident of Elk Falls, Elk Co., Kansas, under date of the 14th inst., states that the weather is very fine, farmers are plowing, and that nature has thrown off her winter robe, and that gentle spring has come, and that the grass is green, and the little birds twitter merrily. He also states that they have had but little snow in that part of Kansas. The weather mild as compared with Iowa, and he concludes by saying that we may be sure he is pleased with his home there. We hope so; most any one would be who has wintered in Iowa this year. But "what will the harvest be", Eleazer? Will such tropical winters kill the grasshoppers, potato and chinch bugs, and be conclusive to a boutiful crop of winter wheat? Wai till after harvest," Eleazer.
