JOINER, OTIS WILLIAM, Livestock Feed, Muscatine, born January 10, 1919, in Maquoketa, son of Melvin and Mary (Von Schrader) Joiner. He received his B. A. degree from the University of Iowa in 1940. Mr. Joiner was with General Electric Company, Schenectady from 1940 to 1944 and manager of Mississippi Valley Grain and Feed Company at Muscatine from 1946 to date. He became vice president of this company in December, 1950. He is president of the Community Chest. During World War II he served in the United States Navy from July 1944 to January 1946. He is a Presbyterian. Mr. Joiner married Josephine McElhinney, daughter of Joseph and Jeannette (Cherry) McElhinney, in June, 1941, at Iowa City. He has three children: Cherie Ann, born April, 1944; Mary, born February, 1947 and Thekla Ellen, born July, 1950.
