Hi, I assume you have already located him in the 1930 census? I know that DAR asks for records for birth and death dates, but his death record should provide both of those dates.

Please discuss this with your DAR chapter - I believe the death record and/or the census should be sufficient. If you're not certain about the requirements, please discuss it with your state's DAR lineage research chairman, also.
