MRS. ISAAC BRICKER DIES
Mrs. Emma V. Bricker, wife of Isaac Bricker, who lives south of Ladora, died early Monday morning at her home about 4:30 o'clock from apoplexy. Mr. Bricker was awakened by sounds of his wife's heavy breathing. He arose and made a light and tried to arouse her, but failed. He then summoned Dr. J.L. Augustine of Ladora, but before the doctor arrived Mrs. Bricker passed away without regaining consciousness.
Mrs. Bricker was born northwest of Victor in Poweshiek county, Feb. 4, 1873, the daughter of Hiram T. and Nancy Ann Rohrer. Here she received her education and her early life was spent. In 1901 she was married to Isaac Bricker, and her home had been in recent years on the Bricker homestead two miles south of Ladora. To this union one son, Dale was born, who with her husband survives her. Her mother died Oct. 28, 1889. Besides her husband and son, she is mourned by her aged father, H.T. Rohrer; two sisters, Mrs. Roy McBride and Mrs. B.J. Glass; four brothers, William, Jacob, Charles and Milton, all of Victor, and a host of friends.
Funeral services were conducted from the home Wednesday at 11 am by Rev. C.E. Coggeshall and interment was made in the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Victor.
