Kenneth Clarence Schultz was born at home on the family farm south of Victor, Iowa on July 1, 1928 to Clarence and Eva (Keller) Schultz. He was raised on the family farm and graduated from Guernsey High School with the class of 1945.

Kenny honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1950 – 1952. He was in marriage to Anna Marie Kruse on June 23, 1953 in Waterloo, Iowa. They farmed in rural Ladora from 1953 – 1974. The family moved to Victor in 1974 and he owned and operated Schultz Electric for 20 years until his retirement in 1994. He was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in rural Victor and was a lifelong member, served as an elder and treasurer, and was a member of the St. John’s Men’s Club.

Kenny’s family and faith were most important to him. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed fishing the area farm ponds. He loved the game of baseball and was an excellent pitcher. One of his most cherished moments was the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series. His enjoyments were bowling, playing Dominoes and card games, listening to music, and sharing his political beliefs. He will be remembered for being faithful and strong in his convictions, for being a great husband, father, grandfather and role model, for his ability to fix or make things, and for the love he had for his family.

Kenny is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marie Schultz of Victor; his children, Steve (Billie) Schultz of Elmwood, Illinois, Mike (Debbie) Schultz of Marion, Iowa, Paul (Laurel Tyner) Schultz of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sue (Les) Jacoby of Belle Plaine, Iowa, Dave (Toni) Schultz of Ft. Worth, Texas; 11 grandchildren, Kenneth (Kendra) Schultz, Seth (Kelsey) Schultz, Amelia (Tyler) Busby, Jason (Sara) Schultz, Jenny (Eric) Ewers, Rachel (Zach) Wilhite, Sarah Schultz, Anna Jacobi, Mitchell Jacobi, Justin Jacobi, and Brooke McLeod; 8 great grandchildren; his sisters, Lillian Lonergan of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Shirley (Ron) Gullickson of Alta, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin grandsons, Jay and John Schultz; and brother-in-law, Jim Lonergan.
