Augusta Sophia Pettibone daughter of Byron Esby and Emma Grace Mahannah Pettibone

The Billings Gazette, Wednesday May 15, 1974:

Gussie S. Riddell,89, of Laurel, died Monday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Harman, 1943 Howard Avenue, Billings.

She was born July 27, 1884, in North English, Iowa, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Byron Pettibone. She graduated from North English High School and attended Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She taught school in North English for two years. In December, 1905, she was married to Evart Riddell, in Des Monies. He died in 1951.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Charles Harman and Mrs. J. Dorse Pewitt, Laurel; three grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2pm Thursday in Cashmore Memorial Chapel in Laurel, with Rev. Marvin A. Northcutt, of the Untied Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Cemetery.
